Please be aware that if you have been injured, or had an accident, in one of the following circumstances it could be considered a Road Traffic Accident:

I’ve been involved in a RTA, how should I proceed?

If you are unfortunate enough to have been involved in a road traffic accident, it is important that you obtain the vehicle and insurance details of other drivers involved. Ideally, the accident should be reported to the police as soon as posiible, but do not worry if you have not done so as it is unlikely to affect your claim for compensation.

Don’t worry if you don’t have much information, as long as you have the accident date and the registration of the other driver involved, our lawyers will search the Motor Insurer’s Database on your behalf to find out which company insures the other driver and will contact them accordingly in order to pursue your compensation claim.

What if the other driver is uninsured, can I still make a compensation claim?

If the other driver has no insurance you may still be able to make a ‘no win, no fee’ car accident claim via an organisation called the Motor Insurer’s Bureau (MIB). Our specialist compensation claim solicitors will be happy to advise you on both ‘uninsured driver agreements’ and ‘untraced driver agreements’ should the other party have fled the scene, and will subsequently establish how you may proceed with your car accident claim.

What if my RTA injuries are minor, am I still eligible for compensation?

Regardless of the type of injury you have sustained, you are eligible to receive compensation. Compensation from a case such as this is not simply intended to ease the pain of an injury; it can also be put towards you can, in addition to your claim for personal injuries, recover amounts for medical fees, household bills and repair costs and can significantly improve your quality of life immediately after an accident, serious or otherwise.
