If you’ve been involved in a road traffic accident (RTA) that was not your fault, you could be entitled to compensation. Here at Alkers, we regularly carry out successful claims on behalf of our clients, and as a ‘no win, no fee’ company, our clients always keep the maximum amount of compensation awarded.
Please be aware that if you have been injured in one of the following circumstances it could be considered an RTA:
I’ve been involved in a RTA, how should I proceed?
If you are unfortunate enough to have been involved in an RTA, it is important that you obtain the vehicle and insurance details of other drivers involved. Ideally, the incident should be reported to the police as soon as possible, but do not worry if you have not done so as it is unlikely to affect the validity of your claim.
Don’t worry if you don’t have much information, as long as you have the accident date and the registration of the other driver involved, our lawyers will search the Motor Insurer’s Database on your behalf to find out which company covers the other driver and will contact them accordingly in order to pursue your case.
What if the other driver is uninsured?
If the other driver has no insurance, you may still be able to make a ‘no win, no fee’ car accident claim via an organisation called the Motor Insurer’s Bureau (MIB). Our specialist solicitors will be happy to advise you on both ‘uninsured driver agreements’ and ‘untraced driver agreements’, should the other party have fled the scene, and will subsequently establish how you may proceed.
What if my RTA injuries are minor?
Regardless of the type of injury you have sustained, you are entitled to bring a claim. Money awarded from a case such as this is not simply intended to ease the pain of an injury; it can also be put towards medical fees, household bills and repair costs and can significantly improve your quality of lifefollowing such an incident.
What’s more, here at Alkers Solicitors we pride ourselves on our commitment to ‘no win, no fee’, allowing our clients to keep the highest amount of any monies awarded. Thus when it comes to covering those bills whilst you’re out of work due to the injuries sustained, it pays to have Alkers as your solicitor.
Our solicitors are ready to take your call, and will be available via a direct telephone and e-mail link throughout your case.
